Its been progress review season at UQ and last week the Wildlife Conservation Lab celebrated a raft of successful milestones, along with some notable lab associates!

So far in 2026 we have had successful confirmation of candidature for Eloise Tighe, Eleanor Knox, and Astri Yuliawati. Rani Davis successfully passed her Progress Review 2, and Rhiannon Bird passed Progress Review 3. Congrats all!
We've covered threatened reptiles, social science, birds, invertebrates and microbats! Thanks to Prof Martine Maron and Prof Hugh Possingham (and others) for their help with the student panels.
Good luck to those who's milestones are approaching - including Natalee Bozzi and Poppy Wyndham.
I'm so incredibly lucky to be working with such an amazing group of smart and passionate people - thank you all for what you do, and I look forward to working with you all for the year to come!
