Donald McCallum
Honours student
About
Donald is an Honours research student at the University of Queensland, investigating the ecology and threats impacting grey snake (Hemiaspis damelii). Following graduation from his undergraduate degree at UQ in 2022, Donald has continued to learn and grow his skillset as a consultant ecologist. Donald is fortunate to have had many great opportunities to work with grey snake, most notably in a research capacity for The Renewables Environmental Research Initiative, where he contributed significantly to surveying the endangered species and developing standardised survey guidelines and EPBC advice. Donald is passionate about achieving tangible conservation gains and contributing to the growing knowledge pool for Australia's threatened species.
