Eloise is a PhD candidate at The University of Queensland investigating the persistence and conservation of four endangered reptiles in the Southern Brigalow Belt, Queensland - including the Condamine and Roma earless dragon, grey snake, and five-clawed worm-skink. She is passionate about translating ecological research into practical conservation outcomes for threatened species in working landscapes.

Favourite animal: To keep things fair with my study species, I'll chose an unrelated animal: the Western Quoll
Controversial opinion: Forget flagship species. It’s time for the silent, squiggly, soil-loving stars to shine.
